Brand
MARCO JAN
MARCO JAN, born in 2002, is an aspiring fashion designer with a deep passion for art and fashion. The enthusiasm begins at a young age and accompanies him throughout his development. Over a period of more than 10 years with intensive drawing courses, he continuously refines his artistic skills. In the process, he realizes that creative expression on paper, even with the best resources and teachers, has its limits.
VITAE
In 2016, he begins his journey into the world of fashion by taking his first sewing classes to turn his fashion concepts into reality. Merging craftsmanship and creative design, MARCO JAN expands his skills and reaches the point where he is today. He completes an apprenticeship as a ladies tailor as well as a state-certified fashion designer and turns his passion into a profession.
HANDWORK
Through continuous training in knowledge and creativity, the idea of founding his own fashion brand matures in him. To stand out from the mass production, MARCO JAN makes an individual bag, which he sews himself and decorates with screen printing. This is done in his studio in his hometown, Böblingen in the south of Germany.
INSPIRATION
One of his biggest sources of inspiration for this collection is military patterns. As he begins to make bags for friends and family, he comes across old Bundeswehr tent tarps that can be easily recycled. He is fascinated by the materials, the easily faded colors and the textures that have been created over the years. MARCO JAN is keen to reflect all these elements in his collection. The patterns can be found on the garments as well as on the bags. The deliberately chosen colors of the collection give it a dark and gloomy atmosphere, while the textures can be seen on the frayed edges of the camo patterns.
CONSTANT CHANGE
MARCO JAN founded his brand with the aim of bringing his art and fashion to as many people as possible. He strives for constant development and enjoys feedback from his customers to continuously grow. The team works on new pieces daily and looks forward to presenting them to the public in the near future.
